The label Smeilinener (designer Mischa Woeste) will be seen twice this week. Once in CREATE BERLIN's latest Showroom no. 11 which opens on July 16th and also on July 18, 2008 with its Fashion Show within the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin. The new collection is entitled "Verschachtelte Träume" ("Convoluted Dreams").

The CREATE BERLIN exhibition „FLEET IN BEING" presents the cross-over of design, fashion and art, and reflects the gravity of the fashion world. The event showcases selected pieces of the existing Smeilinener collections inviting the viewers to a journey through the Smeilinener world. The exhibition design has been created in collaboration with graphic designer Brigitte Speicher from Jacques et Brigitte and the architects Fingerle & Woeste. "Fashion should be presented motion, with changing volumes. Therefore we have chosen a construction of rotating panels," says Eghard Woeste about the unusual presentation of Smeilinener's collections.

Smeilinener stands for colours, handcrafts, joy of life, high-end quality, timeless & longlife. Every collection is made of traditional fabrics from various countries, dominated by handmade detailing. The challenge is in collaging the various textiles to create an unknown context. The traditional known is turning into the extraordinary special item.

Mischa Woeste graduated from the international fashion school ESMOD Berlin and founded her own label. The brand Smeilinener is derived from Mischa Woeste' girls-name 'Linsenmeier'. Smeilinener won in 2006 the Baltic Fashion Award under the chairmanship of Escada Executive Wolfgang Ley whose appreciation and praise for the 'Sunny Side Up' collection were contributing to the success of the show. In May 2007 Smeilinener re-opened the flagship store in Berlin with a new store design.
